Magnet Releasing has picked up North American rights from FilmNation to recent TIFF world premiere Baby Ruby starring Noémie Merlant and Kit Harington.
The thriller marks the feature directorial debut of playwright Bess Wohl (Small Mouth Sounds, Grand Horizons) and follows a new mother and influencer who suspects something is off after her daughter is born.
Wohl wrote the screenplay and the cast includes Meredith Hagner and Jayne Atkinson. Magnet plans to release the film next year.
The page fifty-four pictures and Point Productions production is produced by Alex Saks, Lauren Beveridge, Brett Beveridge, and Jeffrey Penman.
Magnolia EVP Dori Begley and SVP of acquisitions John Von Thaden negotiated the deal with FilmNation founder and CEO Glen Basner.
