Searchlight Pictures’ The Banshees Of Inisherin from Martin McDonagh will open in the US as a limited release on October 21.
McDonagh’s follow-up to Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (McDonagh is pictured at right on the set of Three Billboards with Frances McDormand, Peter Dinklage and Lucas Hedges) reunites the director with his In Bruges stars Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell in the tale of lifelong friends on a remote Irish island who realise their relationship is unravelling.
Frequent collaborators Graham Broadbent and Peter Czernin of Blueprint Pictures are producing for Searchlight Pictures and Film4. Searchlight holds worldwide rights.
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures announced the date in its latest release calendar bulletin and said that two untitled Searchlight films have been removed from the schedule. Those titles were dated for April 8 and June 6.
