Los Angeles production and distribution company MarVista Entertainment has appointed a CFO and head of global distribution in addition to expanding its business and legal affairs division and promoting several key executives.
Darrell Cross has been named CFO and will oversee financial operations and growth opportunities for MarVista. Most recently, Cross served as chief operations officer and CFO at Wild Card, and before that was CFO for Deluxe Media.
Jody Cipriano (pictured) has been named MarVista’s head of global distribution and will spearhead cross-platform content sales and acquisitions worldwide. Cipriano previously served as senior vice-president of worldwide distribution at Cinetel Films.
Rod Rodrigo has been promoted to vice-president of international sales based in the UK and will report to Cipriano. Both Cross and Cipriano will report directly to MarVista CEO Fernando Szew.
Kenny Christmas has been promoted to executive vice-president of business and legal affairs, and will oversee the negotiation of business transactions in TV and film development, production, finance, and distribution. Janet Savage, previously an executive at Fox Television, has joined as senior vice-president of business and legal affairs, reporting to Christmas.
