UK writer-director Molly Manning Walker is following up her acclaimed debut feature How To Have Sex with a six-part TV series Major Players produced by A24 for the UK’s Channel 4.
The series follows two teenage girls who want to start a women’s football club. The producer is Matthew Mulot whose credits include Baby Reindeer and Ghosts.
Walker directs and executive produces Major Players which she co-wrote with Yasmin Joseph, whose credits include A Thousand Blows and the upcoming A24 series Husbands.
Walker’s How To Have Sex, developed by Film4, premiered at Cannes 2023 where it won the Un Certain Regard award. It went on to garner two Bafta nominations and the European Discovery prize at the European Film Award.
Walker was a Screen UK Star of Tomorrow in 2021.
