Palm Trees And Power Lines

Momentum Pictures has acquired US and UK rights to Sundance winner and BFI London Film festival selection Palm Trees And Power Lines.

Jamie Dack directed from a screenplay she co-wrote with Audrey Findlay about a disconnected teenage girl on summer break who falls into a relationship with a man more than twice her age. While she sees him as the solution to all her problems, his intentions are not what they seem.

Lily McInerny, Jonathan Tucker (Kingdom, Westworld), and Gretchen Mol (Boardwalk Empire, American Gigolo) star. The producers are Leah Chen Baker and Jamie Dack.

Momentum plans a limited theatrical and VoD launch in March 2023. Film Constellation represents the film for international sales.

Dack won the U.S. Dramatic Competition directing award in the US and Palm Trees And Power Lines won the jury prize at Deauville American Film Festival.

“Momentum has embraced the film since first seeing it at Sundance, and we are so excited to partner with a distributor that is as excited to share the film with the world as we are,” said Dack.

Ian Goggins, Momentum Pictures’ EVP global home entertainment, added: “We were so taken by Jamie’s impeccable direction and the ability of her stunning film to stay with the viewer. She’s exactly the kind of filmmaker we dream of working with, we’re grateful to partner with her and Leah and are excited to share her talent.”

Momentum negotiated the deals with Jessica Lacy of Range Select on behalf of the filmmakers. Black Bear Management represents Dack.
