Multiplex Ukraine is to receive the 2026 International Exhibitor of the Year award at CineEurope, the annual trade convention for European cinema operators.
The award will be presented to Multiplex CEO Roman Romanchuk on June 23 at the Centre Convencions International Barcelona.
Multiplex operates the largest network of cinemas in Ukraine. Despite significant disruption caused by the war, the company has maintained and restored operations where possible, continuing to invest in its sites.
Multiplex has also contributed to rebuilding the national film ecosystem through the launch of Green Light Films, Ukraine’s first fully national distribution initiative.
“Under the leadership of CEO Roman Romanchuk, Multiplex has demonstrated exceptional resilience and commitment to the cinema sector, maintaining operations and continuing to invest in its circuit despite unprecedented challenges in Ukraine,” said Andrew Sunshine, president of The Film Expo Group.
