EXCLUSIVE: Myriad has begun talks in Toronto International Film festival (TIFF) on the dramatic adventure Last Days from Fast & Furious franchise and Star Trek director Justin Lin after coming on to represent international rights.

The story follows 26-year-old John Allen Chau as he embarks on a dangerous journey across the world to share his faith with the uncontacted tribe of North Sentinel Island. Meanwhile a detective from the Andaman Islands races to stop him before he does harm to himself or the tribe.

Sky Yang, Radhika Apte, Naveen Andrews, Ken Leung, Toby Wallace, and Ciara Bravo star. Ben Ripley adapted the screenplay from the Outside magazine article The Last Days Of John Allen Chau by Alex Perry.

The film premiered at Sundance at the start of the year and will open in the US via Vertical on October 24.

Lin produced for his Perfect Storm Entertainment, alongside Clayton Townsend for 40 Degrees, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson for The Gotham Group, Salvador Gatdula, and Andrew Schneider. Keanu Reeves is among the executive producers.

Myriad’s TIFF sales slate includes horror thriller The Pond starring Isabelle Fuhrman and Douglas Smith.
