EXCLUSIVE: Myriad Pictures CEO Kirk D’Amico has hired former Bleiberg Entertainment executive Nick Bennett as EVP distribution and acquisitions on the eve of AFM (November 11-16).

Bennett’s recent executive producer credits include the Venice title In The Land Of Saints And Sinners starring Liam Neeson, and the war epic Boudica starring Olga Kurylenko.

D’Amico said: “We are delighted that Nick is joining Myriad as we head into the AFM with a new slate of films. Nick will play a significant role at Myriad in both international and domestic sales as well as for future acquisitions and producer relations. We appreciate that Nick joins us after a number of years of sales and distribution experience and we look forward to working together to continue to grow the company.”

Bennett added, “I’m thrilled to join Myriad at such an exciting moment for the company. I look forward to contributing to its bold direction and working on its slate of compelling new projects.”

Myriad’s AFM line-up includes Marie Clements’ Tombs, The Pond directed by Jeff Renfroe and starring Isabelle Fuhrman and Douglas Smith, and SXSW official selection American Sweatshop starring Lili Reinhart.

The company has scheduled market screenings for Justin Lin’s Sundance selection Last Days and David Gleeson’s Once Upon A Time In A Cinema starring Colin Morgan.
