The Hook
EXCLUSIVE: Premiere Entertainment Group (PEG) is in Toronto and has begun talks with international buyers on noir thriller The Hook starring Michael Jai White and Malin Akerman.
President and CEO Elias Axume just closed a North American deal here with ITN.
Production took place in Las Vegas last month on the story of a former FBI profiler (White) who left the force after a brutal case shattered his faith in justice. Years later he is pulled back into action and teams with his old partner (Akerman) when a familiar pattern pattern emerges.
John J. D’Angelo directs from his screenplay, and Al Bravo and Mike Pizzimenti are producing for Al Bravo Films, alongside Axume from PEG, which handles worldwide sales. Lance Kawas and Fadi Assif serve as executive producers.
The Hook marks the latest collaboration between Bravo and Premiere Entertainment, after titles like The Wrecker and Ruthless.
