Phoebe Dynevor signs to star in US thriller ‘Wichita Libra’, Mister Smith to launch EFM sales

UK sales company Mister Smith Entertainment will introduce Henry Dunham’s thriller Wichita Libra , starring Phoebe Dynevor, to buyers at this month’s European Film Market (EFM, February 16-22). 

UTA is handling North American rights.

Wichita Libra is the second feature of US filmmaker Dunham, whose 2019 debut The Standoff At Sparrow Creek premiered at Toronto.

It is about a woman who flees rural Kansas for Chicago following a triple murder. A decade later, she is drawn back home after her brother’s death to decode a cryptic letter he left behind.

It is produced by Jay Van Hoy for his US outfit Parts And Labor, whose credits include The Lighthouse, American Honey and Hell Of A Summer.

The title is in pre-production and will shoot later this year. 

Bridgeton star Dynevor’s latest feature Fair Play premiered at Sundance, securing a $20 million global deal with Netflix – one of the biggest sales in Sundance history. She has also signed on to star in Mister Smith’s upcoming romantic comedy The Threesome, directed by Chad Hartigan.
