EXCLUSIVE: Pinnacle Peak Pictures has added the Biblical epic Daniel starring Mena Massoud to its Cannes sales slate.
Brothers Daniel and Matthew Kooman adapted and directed the tale of courage based on the Old Testament story about the young Jewish man in Babylon who was thrown into the lions’ den as punishment for his faith and survived.
Elijah Alexander from The Chosen stars as King Nebuchadnezzar, alongside Sophia Decaro, Zaki Ali, and Yukta Shah. The feature will open theatrically in the US later this year.
Pinnacle Peak EVP of international sales, distribution and acquisitions Ron Gell will continue discussions on the comedy She Dances starring Steve Zahn and Ethan Hawke.
Titles on the genre subsidiary Panorama Pictures slate include the thriller Straight Shot starring David A.R. White, Dolph Lundgren, and Rachael Leigh Cook; sci-fi Zoners with Christopher Lambert; the horror film Mimics; and sci-fi Matter Of Time with Sean Astin Myles Erlick.
Pinnacle Peak will screen each film at the market next month.
