‘Hysteria’

EXCLUSIVE: Berlin-based Pluto Film has closed sales on Mehmet Akif Büyükatalay’s political thriller Hysteria, winner of the Europa Cinemas prize at the Berlinale.

The film, set during production of a movie about the racist attacks in Germany in the 1990s, has been sold to Austria (Filmladen), Turkey (MUBI), Australia (Palace Films) India ( Big Tree Entertainment) and Portugal (Film4You).

Additionally, Julia Lemke and Anna Koch’s doc Circus Boy, has been picked up for Sweden (Filmcentrim) and the Netherlands (NPO).

In Cannes, Pluto is beginning sales on Karin Junger’s Dutch drama The Pupil, about a boy abused by his coach, and Pedro Cabeleira’s ACID thriller Night Passengers.
