MATT CLAYDEN

EXCLUSIVE: London-headquartered Premier PR has hired ITV entertainment producer Matthew Clayden in a newly created strategic role.

Clayden has joined as account director, strategy and business development, to help clients navigate the increasingly connected worlds of broadcasters, streamers, talent and creators. He will report to Annie McMonagle, director of filmed entertainment, and work alongside Gem Anderson, director of talent and influence, to further strengthen Premier’s integrated film and streaming offering.

His remit includes working across Premier’s portfolio of film, television and streaming, supporting major client campaigns, leading strategic special projects, advising on talent and broadcaster engagement and building relationships with broadcasters, studios and streaming platforms.

While at ITV, Clayden worked as a producer on the broadcaster’s flagship shows, including This Morning and Good Morning Britain.

“Matt brings a perspective that is unique within the agency landscape,” said McMonagle. “Having spent over a decade working at the heart of UK broadcasting, he understands exactly how producers, commissioners, talent representatives and publicists think, and that insight will be invaluable as we continue evolving the way we support our clients.”

“Having worked alongside Premier for many years, I’ve always admired the team’s creativity and ambition,” added Clayden. “The opportunity to bring together my experience in production, talent and broadcaster relationships with Premier’s outstanding film and streaming clients felt like a natural next step.

“I’m particularly excited by the opportunity to help shape the next phase of the division’s growth and contribute to the development of both clients and colleagues.”
