Following the news that Kellan Lutz and Spencer Locke will play Tarzan and Jane in the Germany company’s 3D animated feature, it emerged on Thursday that Jaime Ray Newman and Trevor St John have come on board.

Newman will play Tarzan’s mother Alice, who dies in a plane crash in the jungle, leaving her infant son to be raised by apes.

St John will play William Clayton, the ambitious and ruthless businessman who runs Greystoke Energies, the company founded by Tarzan’s late father.

Lutz and Locke will begin shooting their motion capture portions in Munich next week.

Reinhard Klooss will direct and wrote the screenplay with Jessica Postigo and Yoni Brenner. Klooss and Robert Kulzer will produce for Constantin Film, while board member and head of film and TV Martin Moszkowicz will serve as executive produce.
