Caviar and Cold Iron Pictures will finance and produce the coming-of-age feature The Diary Of A Teenage Girl starring Bel Powley, Kristen Wiig and Alexander Skarsgard.

K5 International will handle international sales and UTA represents US rights.

Marielle Heller will make her feature directorial debut from her adapted screenplay of Phoebe Gloeckner’s graphic novel about a candid teenage artist in 1970s San Francisco who sleeps with her mother’s boyfriend.

Bert Hamelinck and Madeline Samit of Caviar will produce with Miranda Bailey of Cold Iron and Anne Carey of Archer Gray. Amanda Marshall of Cold Iron and Michael Sagol of Caviar will serve as executive producers along with Jorma Taccone.

The UK’s Powley will play the title character in her US film debut and broke out in the Royal Court Theatre’s West End production of Tusk Tusk.

Caviar co-financed and co-produced Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac and Jaco Van Dormael’s Mr Nobody.
