Flesh And Fuel

EXCLUSIVE: Pierre Le Gall’s debut feature Flesh And Fuel has been snapped up by Pyramide for international sales ahead of the film’s world premiere in Cannes’ Critics’ Week.

It stars Alexis Manenti as a French truck driver whose emotional life is reduced to anonymous encounters in parking lots until one night he meets a Polish truck driver (Julian Swiezewski) who shakes up his solitary routine. Faced with long trips and impossible work schedules, they search for ways to maintain their relationship despite the distance. It is produced by France’s Ex Nihilo and co-produced by Poland’s Lumisenta Films Foundation.

The film was shot in France and in Poland. Pan Distribution is handling the French release.

Flesh And Fuel will play out of competition as a special screening and will be eligible for the Camera d’Or. Le Gall co-wrote Raphael Jouzeau’s short film Les Belles Cicatrices, which played in the festival’s official selection in 2024 and earned a César nomination.
