Queen Elizabeth II: Her Glorious Reign

LA-based Vision Films has reported a strong response at TIFF to its feature documentary Queen Elizabeth II: Her Glorious Reign led by a UK deal with Altitude Films.

Interest has spiked in the days following the British monarch’s death. The film is currently available through Vision Films on all major digital and cable platforms across the US and Canada and was released in July.

Queen Elizabeth II: Her Glorious Reign looks at the Queen’s 70-year tenure and has gone to Altitude for all UK rights, MNET in South Africa for pay-TV and SVoD, Pictureworks for global airline rights and India, and Fox Nation for SVoD in the US.

Vision Films CEO and MD Lise Romanoff said she expected further deals to close in Toronto this week.

“It was great to be back in person in Toronto and the film market is stronger than ever,” said Romanoff. “Vision has an ever-expanding catalogue of documentaries about all aspects of the Royal Family and this latest release is certainly timely. We are sure it will be enjoyed as a tribute and to help celebrate the joy and respect Queen Elizabeth’s life merits.”

Vision is expanding its footprint in the international marketplace and has closed output deals with VoD platforms around the globe including Rakuten in Europe, Amazon’s FreeVee in the UK, Dutch Channels and OD Media in Holland, Zylo.tv, W4tch.tv and Molotov in France, and Vix, Univision and Televisa in Latin America.

Partnerships have also been struck with a number of global YouTube Channels such as Movie Central, Amago and Little Dot.
