After announcing its line-up and the inclusion of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange on its jury, the Raindance Film Festival has unveiled the nominees competing for awards.
Assange and his fellow jury members will be watching the films listed below to decide which receives prizes. The winners will be announced at the Vue Piccadilly cinema on Oct 5. The festival runs from Sept 25 to Oct 6.

Awarded to the fiction or documentary feature film that best embodies the spirit of Raindance.
FILM OF THE FESTIVAL (SHORT)
The winner will qualify for consideration in the Short Films category of the Academy Awards without the standard requirement of a theatrical run.
SPECIAL JURY PRIZE (SHORT)
The winner will be offered the chance to film next year’s Raindance Film Festival trailer with the support of the Independent Film Trust.
