‘Rise Of The Footsoldier’

EXCLUSIVE: The UK’s Carnaby International Sales and Distribution has locked in key international deals for Rise Of The Footsoldier: Retribution.

Signature Entertainment – the long-time UK and Ireland distribution partner for the films – has for the first time taken all key English-speaking territories including UK-Ireland, North America and Australia-New Zealand. Other territories sold include German-speaking territories to Busch Media, South Korea to Inolmedia and Latin America to California Filmes/Global Media Distribution.

It is the seventh instalment in the cult UK action-crime franchise. Craig Fairbrass is back in the leading role of notorious criminal Pat Tate, with Nick Nevern directing. Carnaby’s Andrew Loveday has produced and co-written the completed film. Cast includes Tamer Hassan and Leo Gregory.

Set in 1994, the film opens with Tate heading to Ibiza to track down the villains responsible for his friend’s grizzly murder. The film was previously known as Rise Of The Footsolider: Ibiza.

”It is pure escapism at its finest, packed with mind blowing actions and fantastic performances from the entire cast. We believe this is an instalment that will appeal to both our amazing fans and a larger audience beyond,” said Loveday.

Elizabeth Williams, chief commercial officer of Signature Entertainment, described the film as ”packed with explosive action, savage confrontations and the gritty edge we have to come to expect. We’re excited to bring this bombastic latest chapter to audiences”.
