Trudie Styler’s comedy drama Rose’s Baby, starring Antonio Banderas and Eva Birthistle, has been sold to key territories by Beta Cinema.
All rights to the film have been acquired by Kismet for Australia and New Zealand, Front Row for the Middle East, Rai Cinema for Italy, SF Studios for Scandinavia, Paradiso for Benelux, Best Film for Poland, Foxx for Czech Republic and Slovakia, MCF for ex-Yugoslavia, and Cinetel for Hungary.
Rose’s Baby is currently in post-production, after principal photography wrapped in late September in London.
It is the second feature to be directed by Maven Screen Media producer Styler. Alongside Styler, it is produced by Celine Rattray of Maven Screen Media and Tempo Productions’ Piers Tempest.
Rose’s Baby centres on Álvaro (Banderas) and his ex-wife Saffron (Birthistle). When their teenage daughter’s future suddenly hangs in the balance, the long-divorced couple must team up to have another baby.
The cast also includes Forest Whitaker, Richard E. Grant, Úrsula Corberó, Arinzé Kene and Eden Hamilton.
CAA represents North American rights, while Beta Cinema handles international sales.
