The Saudi Film Commission has unveiled plans to open Riyadh production complex Jax Film Studios this year here in Cannes.
The Jax Film Studios will measure over 7,000 square metres with two 1,500 square metre soundstages and a virtual production facility powered by Sony.
The complex will be based in central Riyadh and will also include a private cinema screening room, reception and meeting spaces, production prep areas, dining zones, and a dedicated VIP lounge.
Jax Film Studios is part of the Saudi Film Commission’s long-term investment in infrastructure, talent development, global industry partnerships, and positioning Saudi Arabia as a competitive destination for international co-productions.
“Jax Film Studios represents a cornerstone in our strategy to develop a world-class film infrastructure in Saudi Arabia,” said Abdullah Al-Qahtani, CEO of the Saudi Film Commission.
”As we become one of the region’s premier production hub, this facility is built to meet the highest international standards – empowering local creatives while attracting global talent.”
