The composers of Sirat, Project Hail Mary and KPop Demon Hunters are among the second wave of nominees for the 2026 edition of the World Soundtrack Awards (WSA).
The winners will be announced on October 10 at the WSA ceremony and concert, held during Film Fest Gent in Belgium.
Sirat composer Kangding Ray is nominated in the discovery of the year category alongside Mari Fukuhara (Little Amélie Or The Character Of Rain), Paris Hurley (The Chronology Of Water), Hannah Peel (Midwinter Break) and Sam Slater (2000 Meters To Andriivka).
Project Hail Mary composer Daniel Pemberton and KPop Demon Hunters’ Marcelo Zarvos are in the running for the public choice award alongside Simon Franglen (Avatar: Fire And Ash), Kevin Smithers (Soy Frankelda) and Ludek Drizhal (Starbright).
Pemberton was also nominated in the previously announced film composer of the year category, while ’Golden’ from KPop Demon Hunters is up for best original song
WSA also announced the nominations for the game music award and Belgian film composer of the year.
