Sky has acquired The Secret Garden from Studiocanal for the UK and Ireland, and will release the film day and date in cinemas and on Sky Cinema on October 23.
The adaptation of the classic children’s novel was originally slated for release on April 3 via Studiocanal, before it was pushed back due to the Covid-19 crisis.
Marc Munden directs the Heyday Films and Studiocanal feature from an adapted screenplay by Jack Thorne, based on Frances Hodgson Burnett’s 1911 novel. Heyday Film’s David Heyman and Rosie Alison are producing.
It stars Screen Star Of Tomorrow Dixie Egerickx alongside Colin Firth and Julie Walters.
The film is set for release on PVoD in the US on August 7 through STXfilms.
