The Rows

EXCLUSIVE: Nat McCormick’s new sales venture Stoic has acquired worldwide sales rights to the horror title The Rows that recently premiered at FrightFest in London.

Seth Daly’s feature centres on a young girl who wakes up with a head wound in a cornfield and discovers a corpse and a gun nearby. The youngster finds herself in a game of cat-and-mouse as she tries to elude three masked killers and escape before nightfall with the help of the family dog and a mysterious golden creature.

Daly wrote the screenplay to his feature debut, which stars Brindisi Dupree, Lara Pictet, Marcus Woods, and Hans Heilmann.

Pamela Daly and Corey Weintraub served as producers, with Michael P. Daly, Brandon Burrows, McCormick, and Danny Gusman on board as executive producers. The feature shot on 35mm film in Ohio.

The Rows received its US premiere at Horrorhound Cincinnati, where it won six awards including best feature, and will continue its festival run at Norway’s Ramaskrik Film Festival, among others.

McCormick said: “This debut feature blew us away. It takes cues from our favourite directors, yet feels fresh and original. We’re thrilled it’s resonating with the genre community and critics, and we can’t wait to help the larger world see this suspenseful and satisfying film.”

Stoic negotiated the deal with the producers. Its slate includes action film Red Card starring Djimon Hounsou, Scott Eastwood, and Halle Berry; and James McTeigue’s thriller The Midnight Pool with Aaron Paul.
