EXCLUSIVE: Studiocanal has taken on international sales rights to Rudi Rosenberg’s comedy drama Words Of Love (Quelques Mots D’Amour) ahead of the film’s world premiere in Cannes Film Festival’s Un Certain Regard.
Hafsia Herzi stars as a woman doing her best to keep the peace in a house filled with a teenager, her rambunctious little brother and a cheese-loving dog. When the teen daughter’s desire to meet her absent father becomes a full-blown obsession, it leads the family on an unpredictable journey that steers them toward a new chapter.
Now in post-production, the film is produced by Hugo Selignac of Mediawan-owned Chi-Fou-Mi Productions. Studiocanal will kick off sales in Cannes and is a co-producer. Ad Vitam will release the title in France.
Words Of Love is Rosenberg’s second feature after 2015 teen comedy The New Kid (Le Nouveau).
