1-2 Special has acquired US rights to Michał Marczak’s documentary Closure, which premiered in Sundance World Cinema Documentary Competition.
The film follows a man as he undertakes an exhaustive search for his son who was last seen by surveillance cameras walking on Warsaw’s Gdańsk Bridge in Poland.
Monika Braid, Rémi Grellety, Marczak, Katarzyna Szczerba, and Karolina Marczak served as producers on the Braidmade Films feature that was made in co-production with Warboys Films. Polish Film Institute co-financed in association with Think-Film Impact Production with the participation of Bird Street Productions
1-2 Special will release the film theatrically on October 28 after negotiating the deal with Julia Nelson.
Greenwich picked up North American rights to NB Mager’s feature directorial debut Run Amok featuring Alyssa Marvin, Margaret Cho, Sophia Torres, Molly Ringwald, and Patrick Wilson.
The Tandem Pictures and Greenmachine dark comedy about a student who plans a high school musical reenactment of a school shooting premiered in Sundance’s U.S. Dramatic Competition strand.
Greenwich negotiated the deal with CAA Media Finance and will release the film theatrically in early 2027.
