
Oscilloscope Laboratories has acquired US rights to Adam Meeks’s opioid feature and Sundance world premiere Union County starring Will Poulter.
Meeks adapted the screenplay from the short story of the same name about brothers in a rehabilitation programme in rural Ohio. The cast of professional and non-actors includes Noah Centineo, counsellor Annette Deao, Elise Kibler, Emily Meade, and Danny Wolohan.
Oscilloscope Laboratories plans a summer/autumn theatrical release on the Ley Line Entertainment and Burn These Words presentation of a Seaview and Arkhum production in association with Kindred Spirit and Wait A While Films.
Producers include Brad Becker-Parton, Martha Gregory, Stephanie Roush, Faye Tsakas, Sean Weiner, Tim Headington, Theresa Steele Page, Ellyn Daniels, Will O’Connor, and Poulter.
Executive Producers are Centineo, Anita Gou, Caroline Clark, Luca Intili, Lauren Shelton, David Darby, D’Souza, Nelson and Greg Nobile.
Oscilloscope’s SVP of acquisitions Aaron Katz negotiated the deal with WME Independent, Christine D’Souza and Julia Nelson on behalf of the filmmakers.
