Roadside Attractions and Vertical have jointly acquired US rights to Cathy Yan’s crime comedy The Gallerist starring Natalie Portman and Jenna Ortega.
The partners have scheduled a December 4 theatrical release for the story set against Art Basel Miami in which an ambitious gallery owner presents a corpse as the centerpiece of her debut show.
James Pedersen wrote the screenplay for MRC and the cast includes Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Sterling K. Brown, Zach Galifianakis, Daniel Brühl, Charli XCX, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Producers are Ash Sarohia, Sophie Mas and Portman, Jonathan King, Tom McCarthy, Rae Baron, and Zola Elgart Glassman.
