Sundance Institute has set the dates of the next Sundance Film Festival from January 19-29 2023.
The event is being planned as a hybrid festival in Park City, Salt Lake City, Utah, and beyond and organisers said the programme of world premiere features, shorts, episodic work and a full New Frontier roster will be larger than those presented digitally in the previous two years.
Hits from the last two years include best picture Oscar winners include Coda and Summer Of Soul, Flee, Mass, Fire Of Love and upcoming Cannes selection When You Finish Saving The World.
Pass and package information for both online and in-person participation will be shared closer to the festival, as will health and Covid protocols.
Festival director Tabitha Jackson said the event was “returning to the excitement and immediacy of live events while retaining a powerful online offering”.
