Actors selected for the programme’s 10th edition include Cameroon-born Swiss-German actress Kathy Etoa. Etoa made her German television debut in WaPo Berlin in 2020 and has since appeared in the series Supermad and features The Total Dream and 23,000 Lives, the latter for Netflix.
Also selected is Estonia’s Joonas Koff, who played the lead role in Klaus Haro’s Golden Globe-nominated The Fencer in 2015, aged 13. He graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre this year and gained experience on the production of Sisu 2: Road To Revenge.
The participants were selected by a jury featuring casting directors Pauline Hansson, Nina Haun, Yngvill Kolset Haga, Anders Nygaard and International Casting Directors Association president Lana Veenker, plus talent agents Janey van Ierland and Richard Cook.
The 10 selected actors will receive the Black Nights Stars Discovery Campus ICDA Award in recognition of their selection.
Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival runs from November 6-22.
