They are Martin Kuba’s Ukraine-set noir Three Weeks Under The Sea, which took part in Meeting Point Vilnius; Laura Hyppönen’s Lex Julia, about a woman who recognises her friend’s partner as the man who raped her 15 years earlier; and Greece-Latvia production The Flaw from Theophilos Papastylianos, a science fiction film set in a bleak future starring David Dawson.

Latvian heist caper Kingpins by Kristiāns Riekstins  is an international premiere.

The jury of Baltic Film Competition is led by producer Mariette Rissenbeek and includes Paul Gallagher, head of programme for Glasgow Film Festival, and Istanbul-based filmmaker Ali Vatansever, who won best director for LifeLike at Tallinn in 2025.

The jury will award the best Baltic feature film prize worth €5,000.

Edvinas Pukšta, curator of the Baltic Film Competition, said: “This year’s selection demonstrates the strength of Baltic co-productions and the growing contribution of our filmmakers to international cinema. Baltic producers, actors, cinematographers and other film professionals are taking their experience beyond the region and becoming increasingly involved in ambitious international projects.”

The festival runs November 6-22.
