Leading Danish producer Eva Jakobsen has joined Nordisk Film Production.

Jakobsen co-founded Denmark’s Snowglobe in 2015. Through the company she has produced films including Jeanette Nordahl’s Berlinale 2026 entry Beginnings, and Hlynur Palmason’s Cannes 2022 title Godland.

Jakobsen also has credits as a co-producer on films including Joachim Trier’s The Worst Person In The World, Eskil Vogt’s The Innocents, and Cristina Gallego and Ciro Guerra’s Birds Of Passage.

She will bring a slate to Nordisk Film Production with new projects by Nordahl, Birgitte Staermose and Pernille Fischer Christensen.

“These projects reflect the distinctive, director-driven filmmaking Eva Jakobsen is known for, and are a perfect match for our ambition on bringing world class storytelling to life,” said Nordisk Film Production CEO Katrine Vogelsang.

“Joining Nordisk Film Production is a significant step for me. After many years of working independently, I am excited to become part of a company with such a remarkable history, a strong creative and production environment, and powerful distribution capabilities,” said Jakobsen.

Jakobsen also founded Copenhagen-based mater pictures in 2025, dedicated to developing feature films from strong creative voices. Jakobsen will attend the Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund, Norway next week, from August 24-26.

Nordisk Film Production is the film and series production arm of Denmark’s Nordisk Film. The company’s recent output includes Kraken, The Girl With The Needles and Loveable.
