Tiger Aspect Productions executive Helen Wright has joined the London Film School (LFS) as chief operating officer (COO).
For the past 10 years, Wright held the COO role at UK Peaky Blinders production company Tiger Aspect. She is also a board member of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA).
Wright’s appointment forms a key part of a plan to further cement the school’s partnership with the screen industries, according to a statement from the LFS.
She takes over from Rod Jones, who was interim COO. Dan Lawson previously held the post, from 2018-2023.
“As COO, Helen will lead the school’s operational strategy, oversee core administrative functions, and work closely with the senior leadership team to support the school’s academic and creative mission” said Chris Auty, director of LFS. “Helen brings with her a passion for innovation, and collaboration, with proven long-term results. I’m delighted she is joining the team to lead us after Rod Jones has skilfully filled the interim position.”
“LFS has a rich legacy of nurturing filmmakers from around the world, and I’m excited to help shape its next chapter – building on that heritage while expanding the school’s reach, relevance, and impact in today’s rapidly changing screen industries,” added Wright.
