Anna Smith Tenser, the UK former managing director and executive producer at Steve McQueen’s production company Lammas Park, has joined UK-US outfit Maven Screen Media.

Smith Tenser joins after five years at Lammas Park to help broaden the high-end television and  international film slate for Maven Screen Media alongside supporting company founders, New York-based Trudie Styler and London-based Celine Rattray.

“We’re entering an exciting new chapter – one that strengthens our commitment to female-led storytelling and expands our global reach,” said Styler.

Styler’s focus will be global creative strategy, while Rattray oversees the Europe and US slate.

Maven Screen Media’s female writer and director-focused slate includes Scarlett Johansson’s directorial debut and Cannes and Toronto title Eleanor The Great, Gurinder Chadha’s upcoming True Brit release Christmas Karma, Styler’s recently shot Rose’s Baby and Katie Holmes’ Happy Hours trilogy. The company is playing at Toronto with & Sons, helmed by Pablo Trapero, and written by Oscar-winner Sarah Polley.

“Growing our London base by recruiting top production talent is a natural next step for Maven, and I am thrilled to lead this growth,” added Rattray.

Smith Tenser has previously held positions at Iconoclast Films and Pulse Films. Her credits include McQueen’s Blitz, Bafta-winning factual series Uprising and Eloise King’s docu-drama The Shadow Scholars. She praised Maven for its “culturally resonant, director-driven work with a strong commitment to gender equity”.
