EXCLUSIVE: Paris-based Urban Sales has boarded Italian filmmaker Stefano Bertelli’s animation Spacetime Chronicles ahead of its premiere at THE Annecy International Film Festival in the Contrechamps competition next month.

Entirely handcrafted using paper animation, the introspective film is about a man drifting through a liminal space between reality and dream, guided by a cat who embodies his conscience, and he confronts fear, desire, and identity.

Bertelli wrote, directed and produced the film via his company Seenfilm.

Urban Sales is launching sales at Cannes’ market alongside another fresh acquisition Pascal Plisson’s documentary My Tiny Little School (Ma Toute Petite École) about children in a small classroom in the heart of the French Alps.

Plisson spent a year watching this improbable little school fight to stay open and documents how every new child is the reason the school, and with it, the village, survives. It is produced by Same Player and co-produced by Ladybirds Films Jour2Fête will release it in France later this year.
