
EXCLUSIVE: The UK’s Blue Finch Films has announced a raft of sales off the back of the American Film Market (AFM) for US horror Dolly, directed by Rod Blackhurst.
These include Latin America (BF Distribution), Germany (Tiberius), France (ESC Films), Italy (Minerva), Turkey (Yeni Films), India (Big Tree Entertainment) and MENA (Falcon Films).
As previously announced, English-speaking territories have sold to Independent Film Company and Shudder.
The film, which played at genre festivals Fantastic Fest and Sitges Film Festival, follows a young woman who fights for survival after being abducted by a deranged, monster-like figure who wants to raise her as their child.
Fabianne Therese, Seann William Scott, Ethan Suplee, Russ Tiller, Kate Cobb and Michalina Scorzelli star. Professional wrestler Max the Impaler, also known as The Non-Binary Nightmare, makes their film debut as Dolly.
Written by Blackhurst and Brandon Weavil, the film is produced by Ross O’Connor alongside Noah Lang and Blackhurst for Witchcraft Motion Picture Company, in association with Set Point Entertainment, Grim Discoveries, Gentile Entertainment Group, Monarque Entertainment and Mama Bear Studios.
Joseph C. Grano, Betty Tong, Esteban Sanchez, Bryce McGuire, Isaiah Smallman, and stars Therese, Scott and Suplee also produced.
