The assembly of the actor’s scripts, awards, film posters, photography and personal letters will go on display for a limited period at the Los Angeles-based school.

Dean of the USC School of Cinematic Arts Elizabeth M Daley made the announcement on Tuesday (September 2).

The institution is working in collaboration with The Hopper Art Trust and Visions And Voices to make the free exhibition open across campus.

Taylor Livingston curated the initiative, called Part Of Being An Artist: The Dennis Hopper Collection, Selected Artwork And Ephemera.

It will be on display exclusively to students in the Hugh Hefner Exhibition Hall and Cinematic Arts Gallery from September 2-October 9 prior to going on show to the public from October 10-November 26.
