Oscilloscope Laboratories has acquired North American rights to Carolina Cavalli’s 2025 Venice Film Festival Horizons selection The Kidnapping Of Arabella.
Cavalli’s follow-up to her debut Amanda centres on a drifter who encounters an eight-year-old runaway and takes her on a spontaneous trip. The cast includes Benedetta Porcaroli, Lucrezia Guglielmino and Chris Pine in his first Italian-language role.
Oscilloscope plans a summer theatrical release on the Piperfilm, Elsinore Film, and The Apartment production in collaboration with Tenderstories. Antonio Celsi and Annamaria Morelli served as producers, and Malcom Pagani, Moreno Zani, and Andrea Scrosati are executive producers.
Aaron Katz, VP of acquisitions at Oscilloscope Laboratories, negotiated the deal with Charades.
