
On the day Paramount confirmed its $110bn acquisition of Warner Bros Discovery, the quality of the motion picture group continued to shine through in awards season as Sinners and One Battle After Another took top honours at American Cinema Editors’ (ACE) 76th Annual ACE Eddie Awards.
Michael P. Shawver took the top prize on Friday night (February 27) for Sinners for the best edited feature film (drama) and Andy Jurgensen won the corresponding comedy award for One Battle After Another.
Nathan Schauf won the animated feature prize for KPop Demon Hunters, and Viridiana Lieberman was recognised in the documentary category for The Perfect Neighbor.
Ang Lee was presented with the ACE Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award, and Kim Larson, managing director and head of YouTube’s creator and gaming team, collected YouTube’s ACE Visionary Award. Arthur Forney and Robert Leighton received ACE Career Achievement awards.
