White House action drama starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx to be released on IMAX screens internationally.
IMAX Corporation has teamed with Sony Pictures Releasing International to digitally re-master Ronald Emmerich’s White House Down and release it in IMAX theatres in the UK, Latin America and Asia-Pacific.
The image and sound of the action drama will be enhanced using proprietary IMAX DMR (Digital Re-mastering) technology.
Greg Foster, chairman and president of IMAX Entertainment, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Sony Pictures and to allow fans to be a part of Roland’s next adventure through the power of The IMAX Experience.”
The Columbia Pictures film stars Tatum as a policeman who steps up to protect the US President (Foxx) when the White House is overtaken by a paramilitary group.
