
Pete Davidson and Ella Purnell will star in the upcoming romantic comedy That Time We Met, which WME Independent is launching for sales at AFM next week.
Nick Lieberman, whose Theater Camp sold to Searchlight Pictures at Sundance in 2023, will direct the story about a new couple who detest each other after their first date and learn their unborn child is destined to save the future of humanity. Mitchell Winkie wrote the screenplay.
Matt Jackson and Joanne Lee of Jackson Pictures, Marc Platt, Adam Siegel and Katie McNicol of Marc Platt Productions, and Ford Corbett and Nathan Klingher for Gramercy Park Media are producing, with Gramercy’s Joshua Harris and Mark Fasano serving as executive producers.
Davidson credits include Saturday Night Live, The King Of Staten Island, and Dumb Money, as well as the upcoming 2026 release How To Rob A Bank for Amazon MGM Studios.
Purnell starred in the series Yellowjackets and Sweetbitter and recently wrapped filming the upcoming comedy horror feature The Scurry.
