French director Elie Wajeman’s thriller A Gambler, starring Pio Marmaï, William Lebghil, Sarah le Picard, Hippolyte Girardot, and Suzy Bemba, has been boarded for sales by WTFilms.
The Paris-based outfit will start talking to buyers about the film at the European Film Market next week.
Marmai plays a theatre director and a gambling addict who loses the entire budget for his next play and has no choice but to win it back.
A Gambler is produced by France’s Diaphana Films and Belgium’s Artemis Productions, with Diaphana also releasing in France. It is now in post-production.
WTFilms also heads to EFM with No Way Down (Kraken), the debut feature of directing duo Mohamed Chabane and Théo Jourdain which is co-selling with Ginger & Fed.
The action horror film is set in a deserted housing project where four friends become trapped in a sealed tower that has become an urban legend after unexplained disappearances, as they try to escape a ruthless killer.
Alassane Diong, Manon Bresch, Bilel Chegrani, Guillaume Gouix and French rapper-actor Gazo star.
The producers are Marvelous Productions, with Riggins Films and N9NE Studio. Pan Distribution will release the film in France in September.
