The 16th Zurich Film Festival has named France as the guest country in its New World View section.
The strand will contain around 12 new features and documentaries from the latest generation of French filmmakers.The New World View section will also include a French short film block.
The films will be selected by the strand’s curator and ZFF head of programme Georg Bütler.
This year’s festival is set to run September 24 to October 4 and is due to announce its programme on September 10.
French filmmakers to screen features at Zurich in recent years include Justine Triet, Céline Sciamma, Maïwenn, Mia Hansen-Løve and Ladj Ly among others.
