Eurocinema, the VOD service that offers international features and shorts to the North American market, has signed a carriage deal with DIRECTV.
Under the agreement Eurocinema will make its debut on the DIRECTV-on-Demand platform on August 1.
Eurocinema's stable of films includes work from Pedro Almodovar, Roman Polanski, Ari Kaurismaki, and Jean Luc Godard.
New titles set to debut this summer include Seyyed Reza Mir-Karimi's Iranian Cannes Critics Week winner Under The Moonlight and Daniele Luchetti's Italian rites-of-passage tale My Brother Is An Only Child, winner of four David Di Donatello Awards in 2007.
Eurocinema is currently available on cable TV systems serving in the region of 20m subscribers,
