UTA’s new office

Hot real estate news from Los Angeles: UTA talent agency will move in late 2012 to the 9336-9346 Civic Center Drive complex in Beverly Hills after signing paperwork with developer and site owner Tishman Speyer.

The agency is taking a 120,000 sq ft portion of the 191,000-sq ft site and will become sole tenants of the 9336 building and primary tenant of the adjoining 9346 structure.

Thus UTA’s 350 employees can stride about purposefully, confident in the knowledge that they will enjoy near-exclusive access to the four-story venue, complete with connecting skybridge, outdoor plaza and dungeons to hold rival agents. OK, we made up the bit about the dungeons.

Bearing the laudably transparent moniker UTA Plaza, the site will undergo a multi-million dollar build-out early next year. The agents are currently situated a stone’s throw away in 80,000 sq ft digs on Wilshire Boulevard, in what a press release referred to intriguingly as “Beverly Hills’ Golden Triangle district.”
