Jane Lynch will collect Outfest’s 14th annual achievement award for her contribution to LGBT film and media.

Lynch, the star of hit TV series Glee and a veteran of Christopher Guest films such as Best In Show and A Mighty Wind, will collect her award on July 8.

Previous recipients include Don Roos, Jane Anderson, Gregg Araki, Bill Condon, Todd Haynes and Ian McKellen.

“As an actor, comedienne and longtime activist for gay rights issues, Jane has had a profound impact on both mainstream and LGBT audiences,” Outfest executive director Kirsten Schaffer said. “Through her roles in both independent films and blockbuster hits, as well as television, she continually demonstrates her brilliant comedic timing.”

Outfest is set to run from July 8-18 and the complete line-up will be announced in late May.
