The grand jury award for outstanding international dramatic feature went to Andrew Haigh’s Weekend while Eric Brach’s Habana Muda earned top documentary honours as the LA event came to a close.
Nikohl Boosheri was named outstanding actress for Sundance premiere Circumstance and in an unusual move the entire cast of Private Romeo won the outstanding actor award.
In the audience awards, Tom Tykwer’s 3 took the outstanding dramatic feature award. David Weissman and Bill Weber collected the documentary prize and a $1,500 cash prize from World Of Wonder for We Were Here.
Melissa Johnson’s No Look Pass won the special programming award for Freedom.
The special programming award for artistic achievement went to The Ballad Of Genesis And Lady Jaye by Marie Losier, while the special programming award for emerging talent was presented to writer-director Madeleine Olnek.
