Alexander Payne’s new feature starring George Clooney will round out the event on Oct 16 following its world premiere in Toronto.
Clooney plays an indifferent father who takes his children to Hawaii to sell a family-owned plot of land after his wife suffers an accident.
Payne will also take part in an in-depth conversation as part of the returning On Cinema series.
Festival organisers also unveiled the main slate of 27 features, which includes A Dangerous Method, The Artist, Footnote, The Loneliest Planet, Le Havre, Melancholia and Miss Bala.
As previously announced, Roman Polanski’s Carnage will open the festival and the world premiere of My Week With Marilyn is the centrepiece gala screening.
