Pictorion Das Werk - formerly Das Werk - has unveiled its new management structure and the opening of an additional post house in Cologne.

The move comes three months after Helmut Breuer's Media Select took over the insolvent Das Werk postproduction group' facilities in Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich and Frankfurt-based Zweigwerk (Screen Daily, March 28).

The facilities will operate as independent operations developing their own talents and specialities, but will also be part of a collaborative network.

Michael Brink will continue to serve as manager of the Duesseldorf facility, while Michael Endres will now head up the Frankfurt end of operations, and Jan Kruse, who recently returned from working as a digital artist on The Lord Of The Rings in New Zealand, will run the Hamburg division.

The Munich branch of Pictorion Das Werk has undergone a management restructuring with the appointment of Michel Schuetz, Elke Wallner and Thomas Hanser, and Stephan Fliege has been brought in to oversee operations at Frankfurt's Zweigwerk.

The new facility in Cologne under the management of Christian Journet is the successor of European Electronic Effects GmbH (Triple E) and Aquest GmbH and will handle digital sound postproduction as well as the usual range of VFX work.

Overall managerial responsibilities for Pictorion Das Werk are being shared between Breuer, Brink and Endres
