PorchLight Entertainment has taken on international rights to Wilson Coneybeare's children's tale Gooby and Christian Karim Chrobog's recent Tribeca Film Festival audience award winner Emmanuel Jal: War Child.

The Los Angeles-based production and distribution company will also arrive on the Croisette with James Moll's documentary Running The Sahara, on which Matt Damon served as executive producer.

Gooby centres on a timid ten-year-old whose imaginary friend comes alive to teach him life lessons. Robbie Coltrane and Eugene Levy star.

Emmanuel Jal: War Child profiles the rapper's journey from Sudanese child solider to renowned recording artist. Porchlight's president of worldwide distribution Ken DuBow brokered the deal with Chrobog.

Running The Sahara tells of three long distance runners who traverse the mighty desert. DuBow negotiated the deal with production partners LivePlanet, Allentown Productions and Independent Producers Alliance.
